Annual Jerry Lee Crime Prevention Symposium in Adelphia, MD, USA, in April 2009
Registration is now open for the 9th Annual Jerry Lee Crime Prevention Symposium to be held April 27-28, 2009. Once again, the focus of the Symposium is on the work of the Campbell Collaboration's Crime and Justice Group.
Day 1 will begin at 1:00pm at the University of Maryland Inn & Conference Center in Adelphi, MD. It will include five presentations on innovative methods in evidence-based policy, advances in experimental criminology, and the potential limits of meta-analysis.
The second day will open at 8:30 am at the Hall of the States Building in Washington, DC (444 North Capitol St. NW) with a continental breakfast, and presentations will begin at 9:00 am.
It will consist of presentations of research results on two key criminal justice topics – restorative justice programs and school bullying prevention programs.
Finally, the second day will feature a roundtable discussion exploring the question of how to best spend federal dollars on crime prevention programs.
